Hedda Gabler
after Henrik Ibsen
A new adaptation by Arthur Knight and Simon Farley
Directed by Kate Douglas
Newly married, bored, trapped. Hedda's longing for a life of freedom and beauty becomes the very thing that pins her down.
Henrik Ibsen's striking work that deals with the harrowing nature of societal expectation has been readapted for modern audiences in a fresh new take by Arthur Knight and Simon Farley, and directed by Kate Douglas.
Four Letter Word Theatre would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We acknowledge their elders past and present and pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in attendance.
